Hello, my name is Amanda Rude. I love the Lord, my family, reading, cooking, crafting, homeschooling and all other things that make my house more of a home for all of those who live here and visit here.

My husband and I met while attending Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and got to know one another better while getting involved in our church’s young adult group. Our romance has been quite the whirlwind! In July of 2010 we went on our first date. He proposed to me in October of 2010 and we were married by early February of 2011.

In November of 2011, we welcomed our son into our growing family. Little sister made her debut in August of 2013. Number three joined us in November 2015 and our last kiddo was born November 2017.

In a little over three years, I went from single and living on my own to being married to my best friend and staying home raising our little blessings. My previous career included wedding, special event, and corporate event planning. Now, amongst many other things, I am planning homeschool lessons, cleaning schedules, nap times, and toddler meals.
